Triathlon is Super Good for You!

As a triathlon coach I have been asked questions such as. Is all this training bad for mt joints? Will I die younger from putting this stress on my body? I have herd these rumors and questions. Good news, it is all false. The human body is a fantastic machine. I believe You can do any thing as long as you train for it. There are people who have run across the whole Sahara desert. There are tons of people through out human history who have pushed the boundaries and achieved extraordinary things.

Now science even has our back on this. I just read a article that states that many of the beliefs about rigorous exercise that triathletes partake in being bad for you are false. the article found

1) running will not cause osteoarthritis in your joints
2) running will not give you heart trouble
3) running will not lead to a premature death.

So running is great for you heart, life span and probably helps you joints too.

My triathlon coaching advice to you is this. You have a gift it is your body. With your body time and dedication you can do just about any thing. Dream big and get it done.
