Are you making this training mistake?

Often I hear people say that they want to go faster on the run and don’t understand why they aren’t going faster. Looking at there running routine it becomes obvious what is going on.

Often it is lots of miles all at the same speed which is often slow and steady. Thus when they get to a race they have a hard time picking there running pace up to the next level.

Varied speed work is one way to avoid this pitfall. With more speed work you will need to increase your recovery time which means you may have to reduce your running volume.

Some times less can mean more and when you do more intensity your training volume should drop to allow for more recovery.

Rock it!
